Each Salomon Adventure Challenge we stage draws on our years of experience as Canada's top adventure racing team and through organizing over 40 wilderness-based races since 1998. This guarantees that your team will be treated to an impeccably organized and incredibly fun challenge that offers a true taste of the spirit of adventure racing.
NEW! 2005 WINTER SALOMON ADVENTURE CHALLENGE: CALEDON HILLS!CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THIS RACE! 2004 SALOMON ADVENTURE CHALLENGE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIESIn 2003 we saw the explosion of the Salomon Adventure
Challenge into the largest AR series in Canada. To
broaden the appeal of this series, we are formalizing the
all-female team category, and we have created the Salomon
Adventure Challenge Canadian Championship. At each Salomon
AC in 2004, the top three teams from all three categories
(all-female, all-male, mixed) will earn spots into the
championship, with the winning teams gaining free entry,
second-place teams earning 50% off the championship, and
third-place teams earning 25% off. The SAC Canadian Championship
race will be a 10-14 hour race (like the popular Buckhorn 2003
race), held during our FAR Championship Week at the end of
September, at the same location as the RTN Canadian
Championship, but on the preceding weekend. Categories: We now have 3 categories: Men's, Women's, and Mixed. Advanced: We have introduced the Advanced Section to races. Teams that complete the advanced section of the race and finish the course in time will automatically be ranked higher than teams that finish the course without the advanced section--even if they cross the finish line first! More details about the Advance Section will be posted in the near future. Long-Format: Due to the popularity of the long-format race at Buckhorn in 2003, we have decided that the Salomon AC Canadian Championship will be a 10-14 hour race. Don't worry--we have another 10-14 race earlier in the summer to help you practice. Prizing: The top 5 teams get medals and prizing from our sponsors, including AR gear from Salomon. The top 3 teams also get discounts to the SAC Championship. (more below) Championship Series: At the Salomon AC Canadian Champs, the top teams in each category win BIG: 1st place: FREE ENTRY to all SAC races for 2005! The SAC Championship will take place during Championship Week, held at Calabogie Resort on September 17th-18th, 2004. Price: What you get: Salomon Adventure Challenge performance t-shirt, race jersey, post-race awards banquet & social, a great meal, sponsor swag, great prizing, and one incredibly fun racecourse.
