Raid the North: Deerhurst Resort
(Huntsville, ON)
July 22-24, 2005

For many, the north Muskokas Region of Southern Ontario conjures up fond childhood memories like first camping trips, learning how to paddle a canoe, and seeing a moose for the first time. It is a magnificent landscape that holds a very special place in the hearts of all Eastern Canadian outdoor enthusiasts. We hope your team will join us for the weekend of  July 22nd - 24th, 2005 as we aim to show you some of the best landscapes off the beaten path in the Raid the North: Deerhurst Resort.

Cool Happenings at RTN Deerhurst Resort!

  • Tons of great prizing, draws and race entries to be given away from our sponsors – Salomon, Princeton Tec, Super Wool, Simon River Sports, Pristine, Backroad Mapbooks, Eureka!, Fugawi and more.

  • He's raced more RTN events than probably anyone else, and designed one of the first RTNs ever. We're thrilled to have Dave Hitchon of Team Spirit as Course Designer for this race. You'll be guaranteed a first-class, traditional Raid the North experience!

  • To add irony to adventure...Dave Zietsma and Lawrence Foster will be at the start line as Team Holofibre. Two of the country's most talented course designers, and for years, found on the race management side of FAR events, finally getting to race a Raid the North together.

  • The highly coveted Gold (1st place), Red (2nd place), and Blue (3rd) racing jerseys are up for grabs for use at the Canadian Adventure Racing Championship in September.

  • Stay for the acclaimed post-race social where comical race stories, cheesy games, and unique stunts are worth cool prizes.

  • …and as always, yet another super-fun racecourse that shows your team a great day in the true spirit of adventure racing!
